He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Schmidt and Evelyn Schmidt (Kohat); and his siblings, Evelyn Paige, Helen Donnelly and Albert Schmidt.
He is survived by: his sons, Steven C Schmidt (Jean Spoljaric), Michael E Schmidt (Sandy) and Jeffrey J. Schmidt (Amy); and his grandchildren, Steven J Schmidt, Nicole L. Schmidt and Olivia K. Schmidt.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Association.
