It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen Scheffel of Kingston, New York, who passed away on October 26, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Paul Barnum and Kathryn Barnum (Cole); her husband Bob; and her sisters, Doris West and Nancy Burr.

She is survived by : her sons, Robert S. Scheffel (Jie) of Ridgefield, CT, David M. Scheffel (Deborah) of Saratoga, NY and James A. Scheffel (Betsy) of Kingston, NY; her grandchildren, Helena Marchetti (Eric), Lauren Fahrenkopf (Adam), William Scheffel, Michelle Scheffel, Rebecca Scheffel, Nevaeh Scheffel, Geoffrey Smith and Ashley Haile (Al); her great grandchildren, Aria Marchetti, Wyatt Marchetti, Emilia Fahrenkopf, Geoffrey Smith, Jr., Benjamin Smith, Isla Fahrenkopf and Wesley Fahrenkoph; and also Marilyn Rienzo of Kingston. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other dear family members.
