Houda Basile Obituary
Mrs. Houda Basile passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at her home in Monroe with her loving husband by her side.
She was 67 years old.
Mrs. Basile was born in Beirut, Lebanon and lived there as a child. She studied to be a pharmacist in Lebanon and had a brief career in Broadcasting Public Relations before moving to the United States in 1977.
She lived in Kingston, NY where she raised her daughter and provided a comfortable home for her husband and their young family.
Mrs. Basile moved to North Brunswick in 1997 and to Monroe about six years ago. She was a longtime member of St. Sharbel Maronite Catholic Church in Somerset. She volunteered her time to the church Lebanese Festival and was a past head of the Women's Solidarity Group at the St. Sharbel.
Mrs. Basile was a devoted wife and mother who lived for her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Dr. Joseph Basile and their daughter Rita Camarillo and her husband Jorge. She is also survived by her sisters Leila Rayess and her husband Assad, Aida Saade and husband Jean , her three grandchildren Emily, Joseph and George and nieces Sandrine Church, Josiane Sabeh and Sara Jane Naboulsi.
