It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joel Meakem (Kingston, New York), born in Willimantic, Connecticut, who passed away on March 19, 2024, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his father Francis Meakem; and his grandmother Barbara Meeks. He is survived by : his children, Darian Niekamp (Matt), Brandon Meakem (Sydney), Sydnie Jansen (Anthony) and Sebastian Meakem; his grandchildren, Lucas, Aria Niekamp, Caleb, Helena and Emery Meakem; and his sisters, Francine Meakem and Harrella Joseph. He is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
