John F. Gumaer Sr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 12, 2025, at the age of 76, John F. Gumaer Sr. (Kingston, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Gumaer and Rosemary Gumaer; and his brother William Gumaer. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Ann (Brocco); his children, John Gumaer, Jr., Karen Seery (Wes) and Kristin Gumaer (Bruce Nordenholt); his grandchildren, Alessandra, Cody, Emma, Zachary, Tyler and Marley; his brother Thomas Gumaer (Louise); and his close friend John Kruppa. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc. (27 Smith Ave, Kingston, NY 12401). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Montrepose Cemetery (75 Montrepose Ave, Kingston, NY 12401).
