Though Margaret may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Margaret touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Hymes and Sarah Hymes (Boler); her husband Charles R. Pettey; and her siblings, Herbert, Mary, George, Ruth and David.
She is survived by: her sister Sarah LaBollita (Alfred) of Kingston; her stepdaughter Sharon Taylor of Manhattan; and her grandson Malik Taylor of Manhattan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service - Kingston (326 Albany Ave, Kingston, NY 12401). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at the Wiltwyck Rural Cemetery (205 W O'Reilly St, Kingston, NY 12401).
