He was predeceased by: his parents, Marlin E. Wilt and Emma L. Wilt (Mell); his wife Wanda Wilt (Teter); his brother-in-law Charles Hitchcock; and his grandson Timothy Grinnell.

He is survived by: his brother H. David Wilt; and his children, Marlin Wilt (Virginia), Cean Grinnell (Bill), David Wilt and Sonya Luma (Anthony Ricci).
