He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopher Gaus and Marie Burke Gaus; and his wife Catherine. He is survived by: his son Robert J. Gaus of Athens; and his grandchildren, Honey, Trina and Maya.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc. (27 Smith Ave, Kingston, NY 12401). A procession will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (242 Wall St, Kingston, NY 12401). A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Montrepose Cemetery (75 Montrepose Ave, Kingston, NY 12401).
