He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred Montgomery and Doris Montgomery Jr.; his sister Barbara Montgomery; his sister-in-law Linda Montgomery; and his nephew Daniel Montgomery.

He is survived by : his siblings, Fred Montgomery III, James Montgomery, Joyce Montgomery, Gerald Montgomery and John Montgomery; and his nieces and nephews, Fred Montgomery IV (Tracy), Robert Montgomery (Hillary), Chris Montgomery, Michael Montgomery, Faye Stout (Dave) and Fay Montgomery.
