He was predeceased by: his son William J. Minniefield Jr.; his parents, Curtis Minniefield and Elizabeth Minniefield; and his siblings, Curtis Minniefield, Ronald Minniefield, Rebecca Armstead and Evelyn Powell.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Minniefield; his children, Jacob D. Minniefield (Angela), Rachel Ersing (Mark) and Ramona Ervin (Lloyd); his grandchildren, Christopher, William III, Jacob II, Naomi, Mia, Marina, Catalena, Archer and Aurelia; and his siblings, Cheryl Minniefield, Phyllis Powell, Rex Powell, Norma Jackson, Marcia Powell and Ellette Ahmad (Jad). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colonial Memorial Chapel (3003 South Park Ave, Lackawanna, NY 14218). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM.
