It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Raymond Bishop (LaFayette, New York), who passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Raymond may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Raymond touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Bishop and Mildred Bishop (Gage); and his brother Carleton. He is survived by: his wife Sally Bishop (Marris); his children, Linda Schantz (Lanny), David Bishop, Alan Bishop (Erin) and Mark Bishop (Heather); and his grandchildren, Allison, Abbigail and Emily. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Columbian Presbyterian Church (5992 Cherry Valley Turnpike, Lafayette, NY 13084). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
