He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Baechtle and Elsie Baechtle (Zaiser). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Baechtle (Torrens) of Lake Katrine; his children, Jeff Baechtle (Cheryl) of Vestal, NY, Lori Cadmus (Jay) of New Fairfield, CT and David Baechtle (Joy) of Dillsburg, PA; his grandchildren, Brittany Baechtle, Kristen Brannon (William), Tyler Baechtle (Xan), Alicia Cadmus, Alex Cadmus, Andrew Cadmus, Caleb Baechtle (Ashley), Sarah Griggs (Tyler) and Luke Baechtle; and his siblings, George Baechtle, Elaine Barton (Bill) and Linda Sullivan. He is also survived by his 13 great-grandchildren.

I became a member of Highwoods Sportsman's club and was on the board as secretary for 14years with the 1st 12years Charlie being the president. He really got me hooked on archery and muzzleloading.
