She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, William Schlenker and Edna Williams Schlenker of Lake Katrine; her husband Wayne Hendrix; her brother Robert Schlenker (late Daniel Lewis Sr.); her daughter Katie Hendrix of New Paltz; her grandchildren, Maurice Stansberry Jr. of New Paltz, Monique Stansberry of New Paltz, Mo'Rell Stansberry of New Paltz and Mo'Neye Stansberry of New Paltz; her stepson Danny Lewis Jr. (Samantha); her stepgrandchildren, Bailey and Bradin; and her close friend Emmy.
