She was predeceased by: her parents, William VonderHeide and Mary Louise VonderHeide; and her sister Laura Buckley. She is survived by: her husband Norman Hoover; her children, Robin Sullivan (Doug), Robert Marcellus (Art), Ronda Marcellus (Vince), Roxanne Stata (Mark) and Jeff Martin (Karen); her stepsons, Kevin Hoover (Tavia) and Allen Hoover; and her sisters, Joan Wright (Bob) and Billie Gail Curtis (John). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mountain Community Methodist Church (2565 NY-8, Lake Pleasant, NY 12108). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at the Algonquin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rose's honor to the Wells Volunteer Fire Dept, Wells Volunteer Ambulance Corp, the Mountain Community Methodist Church, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
