It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph V. Piniewski of Lancaster, New York, who passed away on January 10, 2026, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Joseph leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Joseph may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Piniewski; his daughter Sara Simon (Thomas); his grandchild Thomas; his sibling Thomas Piniewski (Jan Burns); and his sisters-in-law, Roseann Mohney (Kenneth) and Cindy Sederstrom (Noel). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Life Lutheran Church (1025 Borden Rd, Depew, NY 14043).

Donations may be made in Joe's name to the Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
