He was predeceased by: his parents, Day McKane and Elva McKane (Miller); and his wife Eleanor Lavonne "Vonnie" McKane (McDermott). He is survived by: his son Mark McKane (Debbie) of Etna; his grandchildren, Lynn Brann (Shawn) and Brenda Coyle (Chris Beach); his great grandchildren, Jessica Greene and Katie Munson Kelly (Jacob); and his nieces and nephews, Lance McDermott, Kelly-Jo Todi and Bret McDermott.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the North Lansing Cemetery (1016 Auburn Rd, Groton, NY 13073).
