Robert J. Sullivan Jr. Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert J. Sullivan Jr. of Lansing, New York, who passed away on February 15, 2026 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Robert John Sullivan, Sr.; and his sister Karen Sullivan. He is survived by: his wife Sue; his daughters, Haley and Kathleen; his mother Barbara Clymer; his siblings, Marcia Sullivan and Peter Sullivan (Martha); his nephew Kyle Sullivan; his mother-in-law Marilyn Chamberlain; his siblings-in-law, David Chamberlain (Tina) and Kathy Howell (Rick); his nephew Travis Howell (Jessica); his uncle Paul Sullivan; his caregivers, Mary, Everette and Nicole; and his friends, Cristina, Eanná, Shelby, Ellen, Liz, Maria, Jeannie, Mike, Rob and Sue.

Rob authored or co-authored well over 100 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters, but was an extremely humble person despite his prolific contributions to his field.
