She was predeceased by: her son Tommy Jr.; her siblings, Ann, Jean and Jimmy; her husband Tom McCarthy; her stepson Matt Mitchell; her sons-in-law, John McErlean, John Pierce and Jack Davis; and her grandson Gus Benson.

She is survived by: her children, Terri Davis-Scully (Vinny), Beth McErlean-Pierce, Irish Benson (Paul), Muffin Wilcoski (Ray), Nancy McCreery (Sean), Sean McCarthy (Chrissy) and Meghan McCarthy; her stepchildren, Bob Mitchell (Lisa), Kate Pallandre (Elie) and Pat Francois (Bruno); her daughter-in-law Diane Mitchell; and her pet Sophia Loren. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A Mass was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Augustine Church (18 Cherry Ave, Larchmont, NY 10538).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in memory of her beloved grandson.
