It is with sadness that the passing of Carole Ann Akots of Latham, New York is shared. Carole, born on March 25, 1939 in Watervliet, New York, passed away on September 19, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Collier and Lois Fletcher Collier; her spouse Ilmars Akots; her close friend Ronald Neaton; her daughter-in-law Jody Akots; her brother-in-law Ernie Walton; and her nephew Michael Walton.
She is survived by: her sons, John Akots (Debi) of Wynantskill and Keith Akots (Jes Saulpaugh) of Wynantskill; her grandchildren, Hannah Akots (Matthew Reasor), Madison Akots (Lisa), Emi and Brok Akots; her great grandchildren, Charlie and Lainey Akots; and her siblings, Richard Collier and Barbara Walton.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. (276 Pawling Ave, Troy, NY 12180). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery (50 101st St, Troy, NY 12180).
