He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Urtz and Marion Urtz (Tuthill); his brothers, James R. Urtz, Jr., Roger Urtz and David Urtz; and his siblings-in-law, Marlene Urtz, Eileen DeRuby and Ronald DeRuby.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen DeRuby; his daughters, Anastasia Urtz (Louis Orbach) and Kelly Heffernan (Sean Heffernan); his grandchildren, Samuel Heffernan (Abby), Benjamin Orbach and Hayley Heffernan; his siblings-in-law, Karen Urtz, Kathleen DeRuby and Richard DeRuby; his pets, Simon, Max and Simba; and his caregivers, Kim and Connie.
