“Barbara was my roommate at William and Mary College in 1967 or 1966 at an NDEA grant summer program. We had a wonderful time living in Williamsburg, VA , and the teachers were fabulous. I visited her in NY several times, and she came to Pittsburgh twice. She was a wonderful teacher and friend. We had lost touch in the last few years, and I just discovered the news of her death. You have my deepest sympathy, for she was such a unique and wonderful person. Bonnie Harshbarger”
