He was predeceased by: his father Frederick Anthony Goebel; and his daughter Justine "JJ" Goebel. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Mott Goebel; his daughter Kimberly Amanda Sterner (Matthew D. Sterner); his grandson Bryan Frederick Goebel; and his great grandchildren, Madison Grace Sterner and Jacob Matthew Sterner. He is also survived by many loving uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home (2786 Hempstead Tpke, Levittown, NY 11756). A burial will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Cemetery of the Holy Rood (111 Old Country Rd, Westbury, NY 11590).
