She was predeceased by : her mother Madeline Mary McCarthy; her husband James Francis McCarthy; her son Michael; and her sister Helen Cinnante. She is survived by : her children, Theresa (Michael Kaplan), Christine (Douglas Kurdziel), Eda (Bill Coyle), Megan (Joseph Rosato), Victoria, Andrew, Nancy, Monica (Ross Calvagna) and Virginia (late Christopher Cronin). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
