He was predeceased by: his parents, Raffaele Vanni and Ersilia Vanni (Manoricca); and his siblings, Joseph Vanni, Anita Cadille (late Anthony) and Carmela Abate (late Frank).

He is survived by: his wife Catherine A. "Kaye" Vanni (Previte); his children, Rick Vanni (Diane), Kim Gaines (Mark) and Kara Serianni (Joseph); his grandchildren, Nina Vanni, Nicole Vanni (Mark Taylor), Jennifer McGrogan (Kevin), Heather Murawski (Michael), Ashley Serianni and Christina Serianni; his great grandchildren, Nathan, Gracie, Garrett and Gerald; and his sister Mary. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
