He was predeceased by: his parents, David J. Yates and Josephine E. Yates (Savage). He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Yates (Cook); his sons, James Patrick Yates and Jeffrey David Yates; his grandchildren, Logan, Maddison and BrieAnn; and his brother Roy Allen Yates (Sam Copick).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Rhoney Funeral Home, Inc. (901 Cayuga St, Lewiston, NY 14092-1734). They spent every summer at their cottage on Lake Nipissing until the Pandemic hit.
