With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Edward J. Schieffelin Sr. of Lewiston, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Edward left this world on May 31, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Schieffelin and Helen [Campbell] Schieffelin; his son Edward J. Schieffelin, Jr.; his sisters, Ann Burdick and Gertrude Smith; and his parents-in-law, Joseph and Clara Gaudio.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann [Gaudio] Schieffelin; his children, Joseph and Rebecca Schieffelin; his daughter-in-law Angela Felicetti (Daniel); his grandchildren, Mercedes, Abigail and Madalynne; and his sister Norma Gonnella (James). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rhoney Funeral Home, Inc. (901 Cayuga St, Lewiston, NY 14092-1734). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Bernards Catholic Church (218 Hinman St, Youngstown, NY 14174).
Memorials may be made in his name to Niagara Hospice, the Lewiston VFW Post 7487 or to the Lewiston Kiwanis.
