He was predeceased by: his mother Stella Schneider. He is survived by: his wife Julia Kovacs DeFio; his children, Todd DeFio of Parksville, NY and Elizabeth DeFio of Philadelphia, PA; and his sisters, Donna Hurn of Syracuse, NY, Alexis Goodell of Little Falls, NY and Mary DeFio of Richmond, VA. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and four great-grandchildren.
