With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Frances Norris of Liberty, New York, who passed away on October 24, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Joan may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Heidt and Anna Witt Heidt. She is survived by: her children, Glenn Norris (Bonnie), Karen M. Hayes of Liberty, NY and Allen Norris of Liberty, NY; and her grandchildren, Philip Norris, Jolene Feliciano, Daniel Hayes and Kevin Norris. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and two nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Harris Funeral Home - Liberty (115 West St, Liberty, NY 12754). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in Joan's name may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 24 Chestnut St., Liberty, NY 12754.
