He was predeceased by: his parents, John Francis and Nora Downey; and his sibling Breda. He is survived by: his wife Eileen Downey; his siblings, Frank, Padraig, Treasa and Mary; and his daughter-in-law Nancy. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, his extended family.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Lindenhurst Funeral Home (424 S Wellwood Ave, Lindenhurst, NY 11757). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Grace RC Church (666 Albin Ave, West Babylon, NY 11704).
