He is survived by: his siblings, Howard, Jr., Gary and Darlene; his wife Nancy Urbiss Richards; his children, Angie Richards (Dave Martyniuk) of Amsterdam, Travis Richards (Kayla) of Florida and Jason Urbiss of Dolgeville; his brothers, Donald Richards, Arthur Richards and Kevin Richards (Lucinda); his grandchildren, John Petkovsek (Melody), Brianna Petkovsek, Mya Richards, Owen Richards and Wyatt Richards; and his great grandchild Dorothy Petkovsek.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM.
