It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norman G. Freund D. of Little Falls, New York, who passed away on May 22, 2022, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Gunter Freund; his son Connor Gage; and his stepfather Max Bitterlich. He is survived by: his mother Dorothea Bitterlich (Pohla) of Herkimer; his wife Dorothy Connor; his children, Erica Freund (Ben Hobaica), Alexander Freund (Alexandra Martin), Ronald Gage III (Sara Annutto) and Gerry Wiegand III (Lynsie); his granddaughter Nella Wiegand; and his parents-in-law, John Connor, Eileen Connor and Deborah Sommers (Mark). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, please make all memorial contributions to the Adirondack Mountain Club or a monetary donation that will go towards a plaque in dedication to Norm on a Memorial Pathway in Lake Placid.
