He was predeceased by: his wife Marjorie. He is survived by: his children, Susan Kraushaar, Donald Jr. (Molly), Steven (Betty), Robert (Mara), Linda Mattiaccio, Deborah Foster, James, Jeffrey and Jonathan; and his sisters, Norma White and Margery McGuire. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
