He was predeceased by: his parents, William Carruthers and Dolores Carruthers (Smith); his brother William G. Carruthers; and his niece Narine Crossland. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Carruthers of Clay, NY; his daughters, Karen Clarke (Christopher) of Camillus, NY and Robin Carruthers of DeWitt, NY.; his grandchildren, Rachel Kreis, Philomena Coles-Carruthers, Finnian Coles-Carruthers, Ryann Lagoy, Joseph Clarke (Meghan) and Jessica Fetter (Shawn); and his nephew Richard Carruthers. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jim's memory may be made to St. Matthew's Episcopal Church.
