He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Powers and Delia Laclair Powers; his siblings, Veronica Chatelle (Chuck), Catherine LaClair (Donald) and Kenneth Powers (Theresa); and his granddaughter Jennifer Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Luella Powers of George's Church; his children, Pamela Smith (Dave), Lois Powers (Tom Gafrancesco), Debora Rabideau (Jan Cary), Susan Phillips (Gary), John E. Powers and Patrick R. Powers (Kim); and his grandchildren, Danielle Landsberg (Ryan), Stephanie Perry (Dave), Jessica Phillips, Rebecca Phillips, Jacob Powers (Kayla), Brandon Powers (Deistiny) and JoAnne Powers.
