He is survived by: his wife Margaret Kress Schmidt of Lockport; his son Art Jr. Schmidt (Ann) of Wind Gap, PA.; his stepchildren, Sue Rudolph (Chad) of Batavia, Jody Miles (Dan) of Batavia, Ken Matthies of Akron and Faith Milhollen (Chris) of Akron; and his grandchildren, Savannah, Brielle Schmidt, Hunter Miles, Grace Rudolph, Brooke Milhollen, Darel Matthies and Henry Matthies.
