With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Singleton of Lockport, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 14, 2026 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen Capen and Lillian Norman Capen; and her brothers, Dick and Bill Capen. She is survived by: her children, Stephanie Rutherford (Clayton Burning), John Rutherford (Tracy Kilpatrick) and Cori Hubert; her brothers, Doug Capen and Bruce Capen; her grandchildren, Brooke Harris (late Johnny Matyjasik), Chelsie Burning Schmitt (Josh), Bradley, Alexis Rutherford, Jason Jones (Riley), Jayden and Liam Hubert; her great grandchildren, Rayna Matyjasik, Jane, Callie Schmitt and Willow Carolynn; and her close friend Heidi Johnston Killburn. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
