She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Burhans and Elizabeth Babcock Roberts; and her son David C. Caldwell. She is survived by: her husband Robert R. Caldwell; her brother Charles B. Roberts of Lowville, NY; her children, Sandra Lawrence of Perry, NY and Bruce L. Caldwell of Badplaas; and her grandchildren, Amanda [Christopher] Schaus of Lockport and Andrew [Tarah] Lawrence of Cincinnati.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc. (242 Genesee St, Lockport, NY 14094). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church (75 East Ave, Lockport, NY 14094).
She has held leadership roles on many community boards including Lockport Savings Bank, Dale Association, Kenan Center, NIOGA Library System, Lockport High School Foundation and Western NY Foundation. She was especially proud to be a founding member of the Grigg Lewis Foundation, whose commitment to Lockport and the surrounding community matched her own.
