He was predeceased by: his brother Edward Smallman (Debbie). He is survived by: his parents, Eugene Smallman and Beatrice Smallman (Brown); his wife Elizabeth Smallman (Martin); his children, Eric (Sarah), Chelsea and Paul (Samantha); his grandchildren, Ella, Brennan, Aubrey, Dakota, Eila, Peyton and Isabelle; and his siblings, Connie Baudendistle (late James), Eugene Smallman, Linda Vanderlinde (Bob), Roger Smallman (Paula) and Fred Smallman (Lisa). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
