Dorothy Getty Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 4, 2025, at the age of 86, Dorothy Getty (Lockport, New York) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dorothy Getty to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James R. Hefferon and Mary Hefferon; her husband Edward L. Getty; and her siblings, Richard, Russell, George, Robert, Jack Hefferon, Betty Verrall, Marjorie Morgan and Patricia Doak.
She is survived by: her daughters, Diane Snickles (Daniel Heim), Debra Prelewicz (Rob) and Dawn Winkelmann (late Tim); and her siblings, David Hefferon (Cheryl), Rosemary Siegmann, Shirley Crites and Helen Waldrep. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Lange Funeral Home, Inc. (186 East Ave, Lockport, NY 14094). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pendleton Center United Methodist Church or Niagara Hospice, Inc.
