It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas R. Townsend of Lockport, New York, who passed away on May 19, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Townsend and Loraine M. Kraatz; and his brothers, Ronald, Donald Townsend and Richard Townsend (Shirley).

He is survived by: his children, Scott, Donna Alexander (Kirk), Dina Kornell (Jon), Deborah Clack and Douglas Townsend; his grandchildren, Brittany Alexander (Tim Kirsh), Jillian Wood (Corey), Ryan Townsend, Ashley Clack, Alyssa Kornell and Caitlin Clack; his great grandchildren, Madison Alexander, Chase Alexander and Emily Wood; and his siblings, Bruce Townsend (Pat), Roger Townsend (Shirley), Mary Bessinger (late Gordon), Dorothy Ramming (John), Clarence Townsend (Ronald), Jane Dent (Rick) and Ruthanne LaPort (Dave). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
