He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gilson and Clara Gilson (Wheeler); his former wife Esther Robins; and his brother James Gilson (Carol Miller). He is survived by: his wife Linda Gilson (Wronski); his children, Devin Gilson (Aurora) and Darrell; and his stepsons, Jeff Costello (Lori) and Brian Costello (Becky).
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. John's RC Church (168 Chestnut St, Lockport, NY 14094).
