He was predeceased by: his parents, James III and Carolyn Fariss III (Leaton); his brother James "Jimmy" Fariss IV; and his stepfather Carl Fredricks. He is survived by: his children, Michael McGraw (Crystal), Reese Steenhuis (Edward) and Carston Fariss; his grandsons, Nathan and Beau; his sister Debbie Woodcock (Tim); the mothers of children, Heidi Seefeldt (Eric) and Tammy Driscoll; his aunts and uncles, Patricia and Thomas Mosher; his stepbrother Greg Fredricks; his close friend David Slowik, Sr.; and his stepmother Lisa Fariss.
