He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry W. Schmidt, and Jeanne Schmidt, Sr. (Upson). He is survived by: his wife Virginia Schmidt (VanHorn); his children, Virginia Barry (Cory), Victoria Gleason (James), Vanessa Schmidt (Matthew Deys) and Henry W. Schmidt, III (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Alexander, Adelyn, Jackson, Emerson, Wyatt and Violet; and his sister Suzanne Gartner (late David). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers please make donations in his name to the Lockport Historical Society and the Multiple Sclerosis Association.
