He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel McCartney and Anne McCartney (McCurley); his wife Catherine McCartney (Hunt); his daughter Linda Coffey; and his sister Theresa Bouchard.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel McCartney (Amy), Patricia Darlak (Michael), Michael McCartney (Michelle), Mary Nelson (Scott), Ann Pach-McCartney (Sara) and Brian McCartney; his grandchildren, Andrew, Jolene, Nicholas, Tyler, Colin, Michael, Jennifer, Hannah, Jacob, Christopher, Lillian, Shea and Isaac; and his sister Philomena McCartney (O. P.). He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
