Joanne Madden Obituary
Joanne Madden “JoJo” entered into rest at age 84, sleeping peacefully Friday September 4th, 2020. Born in Lockport on Friday August 28th, 1936. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy, Class of 1955, and a retiree of General Motors of 30 years.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas W. and Mary T. (Pilhorn) Madden, and dear sister to the late Virginia “Pinky” A. Danna, whom she cared for until she lost her battle to cancer in 2015 and Mary Richards. Although Joanne never had children of her own, she was no stranger to raising children or taking care of her loved ones. She helped her sister Virginia care for her children Thomas (Karen) Danna, Matthew Danna and the late Theresa Danna and Michael (Cindy) Danna.
She served as a second mother to her great niece Rhiannon Renouf and great nephew Raymond E. Renouf III, as well as to their children, her great great nieces and nephews; Aryonna, Timarrah, Mikiah, Raymond IV and Elijah. Joanne enjoyed shopping, traveling, rides down RT104 to the Amish and to visit her pre-deceased friend Marge. She took pride in her home where four generations were raised, decorating outside for every holiday.
She was an amazing, selfless and strong woman who gave everything and asked for nothing. Rhiannon Renouf and Karen Danna invite everyone for a Celebration Of Life, Saturday, September 12th located at 44 Maple Street in Lockport. There will be a COVID-friendly motorcade to receive a memorial keepsake from 3:00pm-5:00pm.
Food served and memories shared at 5:00pm. An eco-friendly lantern release at 8:00pm.
