He was predeceased by: his parents, Anker Joensen and Gertrude Joensen (Will); his son Mark Joensen; and his siblings, Paul Joensen, Robert Anderson and Joanne Darlich.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Joensen (Shanley); his daughter Molly Kirchberger, Jr. (Jack); and his grandchildren, Daniel (Millie), Alex, Ellie Joensen, Kyle, Emily Seitz (Kirchberger) and Jordan Kirchberger.
