He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay P., Jr. and Martha Newhard (Hart); his wife Mary Newhard (Lockie); and his son James L. Newhard. He is survived by: his grandsons, Jon Newhard (Lisa) and Jay Newhard (Ashley); his great grandchildren, James Newhard, Charlie Newhard, Caleb Newhard and Emily Newhard; and his sister Jane Nichols Bates. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
