He is survived by: his mother Linda Layer; his wife Rita Layer; his children, Emily Layer-Haynes (Michael) and Jacob Layer; his stepchildren, Stephanie Humble and Shelby Moore (Robert); his grandchildren, Lucas Haynes and Lilith Moore; and his sister Sharon Snaith (Scot).
