He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton "Buster" A. Fluellen, Sr. and Ruby Davis-Courtney; his brother Benjamin Lee Fluellen; and his sons, Milton A. Fluellen, III and Ricky Fluellen.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Fluellen; and his children, David Fluellen (Tasha), Laurie Morley (Charlie), Peggy Fluellen, Tracy Fluellen, Evelyn Greene (Rashad), Sandra Townsend (Earl) and Charlotte Fluellen. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 73 great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
