He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Harris and Isabelle Harris (Rowles); his wife Lynda Harris (Shepherd); his children, Richard O. Harris and Sandra D. Harris; and his siblings, Vaughn "Sam" Harris, Vandetta "Detsie" Miles (late Carson), Nellie Harris, William Harris, Harold Harris, William "Billy" Harris, Joseph Harris, Donna Garrow, Roxie Hill and Gary Harris.
He is survived by: his children, Russell Harris (Dawn), David Harris (late Terri), Jeffrey Harris, Todd Harris (Kathy), Adam Harris (Michele) and Tammy Metzger; and his siblings, John "Jack" Harris, Wanetta Leveille (late Edgard), Georgianna Booth (David) and Sandra Harriman. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
